We bring all aspects of city design and stakeholders under one digital roof. Like Houzz brings tech to interior design, we bring all aspects of city design under one digital roof built for all users. We aim to solve many challenges facing sustainable, equitable community design: access to great content with "how to" vibe (typically locked behind paywalls); fragmented decision making (silos), limited public engagement (outdated, un-engaging tools like PowerPoint), and adherence to status quo methods (procurement and poor visibility for young firms & innovators).

Our mission is to connect people seeking ideas, inspiration and services for their cities with civic innovators worldwide. We are a two sided market with a wide and growing audience given trends in open and participatory government. Our initial user market includes planners, architects and engineers, civic technology, writers, and decision makers. Our initial advertising market include civic tech, small/medium planning firm...

Our mission is to connect people seeking ideas, inspiration and services for their cities with civic innovators worldwide. We are a two sided market with a wide and growing audience given trends in open and participatory government. Our initial user market includes planners, architects and engineers, civic technology, writers, and decision makers. Our initial advertising market include civic tech, small/medium planning firms and non-profits that offer services.

Our growing suite of tools includes print (City Design Method Cards), mobile apps (under development), web (GreaterPlaces), events and consulting (planning, placemaking, smart cities and public engagement).

What do we do? In addition to the website of best practices, we are working with partners (cities, non-profits, architecture firms) to develop accessible information on the best methods for city and town design and governance. This includes the basics such as City and Street Design, Public Health & Economic Development, as well as cutting edge topics like resilience, civic technology and retrofitting suburbs. Our products are specifically designed to meet all users where they are on the learning curve. This solves the problem of meeting experts and newcomers simultaneously - and allows cities to bring people into planning processes midway.

Mobile apps (under development) are the real power our our products. We can use technology to inform data-driven planning: spot trends and challenges, use AI to customize policy and method packages, and connect cities seeking expertise with innovators.

We also develop and hack games for civic engagement. This includes card and board games to demystify planning (e.g. stormwater regulations, commutes) and educate the complexities of policy making (e.g., Transit Oriented Development).

We constantly engage our community of users for improvements, networking and products
