Thus creating a natural organic NPK fertilizer that contains both organic nutrients as well as nutrients for better soil and plant health, ultimately increasing the productivity of farmlands.

GHU ltd will use the container-based heat composting technology developed by engineers of Transform Aps Africa in Denmark with whom communication curently on-going. The heat composting technology is able to decompose waste withing 5 days into compost. The principle of the technology is based on controlling the temperature, humidity and oxygen levels in the decomposition chamber at optimal conditions that foster the decomposition ptocess therefore increasing the speed of decomposition. From research and State of environment reports released by the National Environmental Management Authority of Uganda, there has been a marked decline in soil fertility nationwide even though use of synthetic fertilizers continues to grow. This is fertility decline can be attributed to the soil depleting nature of rudimentary agricultural practices such as monocropping but also to reduce organic matter content of soil. It is therefore expedient that technologies and innivations that foster organic matter addition into the soil be promoted so as to improve and restore soil properties and soil fertility at large and consequnetly boost crop productivity of land through higher yeilds and healthier crop.
