Grid Community - Start-Up Challenge 2018

Grid Challenge by E.DIS Netz, e.kundenservice Netz (units are part of E.ON)
In tomorrow's world of electricity, the grids are becoming increasingly important. That's because they make sure the electricity will reach its destination. This requires stability, but also new technologies and ideas.

To change the world, one needs to start in small steps. We, the Grid Community, are looking for innovative, data-based solutions on a regional level so as to join forces with you to make this world a more sustainable, more livable place.

Therefore we have three challenges gridchallenge.if-cloud.com:

1. Sustainable Cities: Support cities and urban communes in their sustainable action. We want to help communes in easily and transparently presenting their sustainable actions internally and externally. 2. Develop incentives for small producers of renewable energy after the legal contributions (EEG) has expired. From 2019, the first installations in our grid area will not receive a financial contribution anymore. We are looking for alternative incentives for energy producers to further feed-in their renewable energy into our grid.

3. Combine your data, products or ideas with our data and show us the exciting use cases you can identify. We provide about 40% of the German terrtory with electricity and fas using our energy grid and work with a veriety of data. This includes e.g. information about the amount of energy taken from and fed into or grid throughout our area.
