Harakas is a web-app where musicians can view, store and share their sheet music digitally. Right now bands, orchestras, music schools, choirs and individuals have piles of sheet music everywhere. We aim to solve the problems of sheet music and introduce features possible only on a digital platform. Using Harakas Scorebook, musicians can easily store their sheet music in a way that makes sense to them - all without the organizational hassle of traditional paper. Musicians can easily view their music and take notes anywhere. We take into consideration the needs of orchestras, bands, music schools and individuals, to build a platform, which is comfortable for all players, teachers and conductors.
To accomplish this, users can store and organize their sheet music in shareable folders. The folders contain sheet music grouped as songs or instrumental pieces. The folder structure is something everyone is familiar with when organizing their things digitally, and also mimics the real use cases of creating libraries, setlists, collections etc. Optionally, we will support existing cloud storage solutions, so if anyone already has their sheet music in the cloud, they can just add it to our system easily.
Why should musicians opt for our cloud? Our app has a wide range of other features which help them. Pieces usually have sheets for different instruments which means that conductors have to hand out each sheet separately. This process could be automated if the players only have access to sheets with their instrument tags.
Another main feature is that players can view their sheets, comment, take notes and have a live metronome or tuner ready for practice sessions. In concerts, band leaders can synchronize the songs for all players at the same time.
Lastly, we do not want to set restrictions on the type of devices we support. It is important to us that musicians can access our app either via tablet, laptop or phone - musicians should be able to practice everywhere anytime.

This all creates a comfortable solution to the problem of poor note management for home-practicers as well as players in a band.
