Hype Messenger is a cross-platform messaging app which combines "broadcast" messaging and "dyadic" interaction through smart messages. Every conversation or topic on the messenger is called a Hype.

How it works -

1. Hype owners can broadcast content to any number of subscribers.
2. Subscribers can be either directly added from the address book or can be attracted through social media links - with some moderation.
3. Subscribers can respond "privately" to the Hype owner thereby reducing noise that is prevalent in large group chats.
4. Hype owners can choose to interact privately with any subscriber of their choice using name mentions {@HypeID} without leaving the Hype screen.

Communication across large communities is mostly topic-centric. These groups are characterized by having a large number of members (>100), where members get together around a particular area of knowledge, background or experience.

These tend to be purpose-driven groups, where common interactions include broadcasting messages, asking questions, sharing content and showing something, always related to the topic shared.
