imercita is a platform for designing and production of geo-location-based stories. Through geo-fencing, the platform enables us to assign creative stories to locations in form of audio, video, and push notifications to GPS locations. We are able to navigate the user through a narrative that can be a game, an experiential tour, a story, or real-life interactions facilitated by real-time push notifications to locals.

These experiential stories can be produced for a wide variety of audiences based on the type of the story.

For example; we can notify a cafe owner that our user is arriving to their cafe as a guest, therefore the cafe owner can greet them and welcome them in a personalized way.

Generally, we define our experiences in two ways:

2. we define a route with a start point and an ending point. The user begins the exploration at a starting point. The user steps into a journey with a storyline. He needs to follow the app's navigation and listen to stories to finish the route .
The storyline can be about tourist attractions, local artists, local businesses etc.
This provides an opportunity to combine tourism with any desired agenda to promote local causes, people, art, and culture.

The platform is partly a navigation system that walks the user through the narrative of a creative story around the city. The story is technically a guided tour yet essentially it is more than just a tour. The user gets navigated to make stops to hear stories that are relevant to those locations.
The technology enables us to create interaction and break the ice for facilitating conversation between the tourist and locals. This not only creates an authentic local experience for the traveler but also promotes local art and businesses in a personalized yet scalable way.
