The IFDC will debut in September in partnership with New York Fashion Week. RampWay will be an IFDC/NYFW Collaboration that turns one of New York Fashion Week’s largest runways into a ramp.

I recommend the Inclusive Fashion & Design Collective. The Inclusive Fashion & Design Collective (IFDC) is the first ever fashion trade association for people with disabilities. The premise is amazing and simple - design to be inclusive.

The Inclusive Fashion & Design Collective aims to define Inclusive Design as a post-Universal Design movement. Universal Design presumes products can be made to benefit most. But Universal Design also acknowledges there will always be an exception. Inclusive Design is the counterpart to Universal Design. It designs for the exception. The IFDC believes that when you design for the exception, your solution will always benefit a much larger population. So long as your aim is to improve accessibility, not improve the person. Inclusive Design designs beautifully for the exception and then markets beautifully to all beneficiaries of the solution.

This is something our world needs!
