The Telluride Foundation is pleased to announce for the first time ever, our Innovation Prize Grant. The Guidelines document contains important information on who can apply, how to apply, the rubric for evaluation and more.

The Question: What innovative program, approach or product would you develop to improve the quality of life for visitors, residents and/or the workforce in the Telluride Region (Telluride R1 School District)?

The proposal must have measurable outcomes and demonstrate benefit or success in a category similar to, but not limited to:
1. Transportation
2. Economy
3. Inclusion/Diversity
4. Health or Healthcare
5. Energy
6. Government Efficiency

This prize grant is intended to be used in and benefit solely the Telluride area (R1 School District). A fiscal agent is required. The prize is $50,000 granted over a year to solve a problem in the Telluride region. All applications are due by January 15th, 5pm.

The selection will be narrowed down to 5 contestants by our grants committee on February 15th. For the next month (Feb. 15th-March 5th) the public will be able to engage the contestants with questions, concerns and input based on their applications through this site. The final 5 will take part in a public pitch event located in Telluride on March 15th. Here judges will listen to a live pitch, ask questions and ultimately decide the winner.
