InstantCare system consists of a disposable strip sensor that sticks in any kind of pad, and a reusable RF transmitter that fixes on it and sends the wetness level information to a hubs (receivers) network distributed throughout the care home that sends it to our secure servers.
Caregivers login in our platform and receive the wetness level in a PC, tablet or android smart phone. So, they can change the patients’ pad ASAP, without having to check one by one all of them and without discarding clean pads.
The manager of the care home receives more detailed information in the administrator control panel, including when pads changes were done and their historical data. That way we improve the incontinence management as never before and care home improves the service they offer.

Instant Care is a full custom Internet Of Things system that includes hardware (custom PCBs for transmitters and receivers), firmware for transmitters and receivers, customized Linux to link receivers and servers, web platform (back end and front end), API, and android APP.
The mechanical components are also done: injection moulding for the transmitter case and its clip and a first version of a machine to produce the sensor strips (up to 500 units per day)
Our technology is patented. We have a patent based on the universal and disposable strip sensor system.
We have also finished the trials phase in care homes and we have checked that our system:
- reduces the pads checking, and then, saves around the 20% of the working time for the nurses and the care home costs
- improves the prevention of medical complications of pads use and reduces hospital admission and the national health system costs
- and first and foremost, improves the quality of life and dignity of the patients.
We are now adapting the system to be used at home. In this case, the transmitter will send the wetness info directly to a bodypack receiver so that the carer can give a better care to patient and have the benefits explained above.
In the next version, the system will also inform about position changes, falls and location improving even further the service we offer.
