An accomplished financial executive and Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA), James Kolbusz brings nearly two decades of experience to his current position as a senior vice president and institutional consulting director for the Chicago offices of Merrill Lynch. In his leadership role with the Chicago-based financial services firm, James Kolbusz analyzes and implements investment strategies for public pensions, Taft-Hartley pension trusts, defined benefit plans, and endowment funds.
Mr. Kolbusz earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Loyola University before embarking on his finance career. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, he spent many years with the Graystone Consulting business of Morgan Stanley. During his time with Graystone, he managed $3.3 billion in assets for 32 clients, and his accomplishments included organically doubling fees while adding nearly $350 million in assets under management to his accounts.
