Our company offers both a service and a product. On the service side, we collect and process organic material as an alternative to landfilling. On the product side, we create a domestic organic fertilizer, rich in nutrients.

The process we use to process organic material is called "bokashi". Traditional composting occurs in the presence of oxygen, in which the material decomposes over the course of months. Bokashi composting occurs in an anaerobic (zero oxygen) environment, and the process begins by inoculating the raw organic material with a mix of effective microorganisms (EM). Once inoculated, the material is sealed in an airtight container and is left to ferment over the course of 2 weeks (in smaller home composting) to 8 weeks (for larger, municipal-scale composting). The resulting compost is rich in nutrients and hosts a diverse microbial community that makes nutrients available to plants....
