Altitude Medical desires to hire an Accounting Analyst. The position offers an opportunity for an employee to get in on the ground floor of an exciting, quickly-expanding company. It also offers the opportunity to work directly with Senior Management. The position’s primary focus will be Accounting and Finance. Because Altitude Medical is a start-up, opportunities exist for utilizing the skills and talents of those on Altitude Medical’s team in other areas. Cross-functional tasks and additional duties as assigned will be common, making the professional opportunity more exciting and challenging than a typical accounting position.

Job Description:
The primary responsibility is to compile and maintain accurate financial records, research and analyze accounting data, and prepare and present financial reports to senior management.

• Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to track assets, liabilities, profit and loss, amortization/depreciation schedules, balance sheets, tax liability, or other financial activities within the organization
• Collect, organize, and manage client information, payroll, employee reimbursements, quarterly and annual reports, sales tax, bank and credit card statements, and document business transactions, etc.
• Skill and proficiency in financial data entry (Quickbooks) and keeps accounting software current

Audit, Tax, and Regulation
• Assist 3rd party CPA firm to support annual audit and tax reporting
• Handle W9s and annual 1099 processing, ensure compliance with tax payment, reporting, and other tax requirements and represent establishment before taxing authority
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements to ensure compliance with US GAAP, revenue recognition, and internal accounting policies
• Stay up to date with existing and new legislation requirements and advises management on needed actions.

Accounting Analysis
• Analyze operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred, to project future revenues and expenses
• Advise management about resource utilization (efficiency improvements via cost-benefit analysis), tax strategies, and assumptions underlying budget forecasts
• Develops, modify, and document budgeting of sales and expenses.
• Review and edit contracts
