JobRobin's aim is to build a truly data-driven recruiting marketplace. We believe that quality recruiting services provide value to many organizations, but that with data science and access to the right data, we can be the first platform to significantly lower the cost of high quality recruiting services. Our initial focus area is on the rapidly growing area of data roles themselves. This includes data science, data engineering, analytics, visualization and other lesser known data roles.
How are we doing this? First, we've identified the critical factors that influence the hiring decision process for these roles. By collecting this data directly from candidates and employers, we're building an algorithmic matching engine that runs off a much richer data set than most competitors in this space. Second, we've learned that black box-generated recommendations are useful, but not fully trusted by hiring managers, so we're addressing the trust issue that limits data-driven recruiting. To do this, we're developing graphical representations of candidate profiles and job descriptions, which allow both technical and non-technical hiring stakeholders to easily interpret highly technical candidates. The visualizations are aimed at highlighting those factors that we've determined are critical in the decision making process bu hiring managers of candidates and by candidates of prospective roles.
