Zeleros Hyperloop
Zeleros builds scalable hyperloop systems to move at 1000km/h
ZELEROS has designed an innovative solution that outperforms current transport systems in costs and energy efficiency, achieving speeds above 1000 km/h with sustainable energies. This new concept is formed by a vehicle which includes main technologies on it, both active magnetic levitation and aerodynamic propulsion, having passive infrastructure, which leads into lower costs and easier maintenance. Although there are other companies developing similar means of new transportation, ZELEROS is carrying out a differential technological approach by achieving a reduction of infrastructure costs, energy-efficient and unique levitation systems, and safe pressure levels, similar to the ones in aerospace industry. By means of the combination of a vehicle-centric design with disruptive levitation and propulsion systems working at safe pressure levels, Zeleros is able to reduce infrastructure complexity.
The concept comes from a two-hundred year-old idea developed by George Medhurst, but due to technological complexity it didn’t succeed. In 2013, Elon Musk popularised the concept again and studies from entities such as NASA, SpaceX or Transpod revealed that Hyperloop systems would have a lower infrastructure cost than Maglev and even HSR technologies while increasing considerably the speed and convenience of current systems. Now, the limit is not the technology anymore.
In 2015, ZELEROS’ founding team, Daniel Orient (CTO), David Pistoni (CEO) and Juan Vicén (CMO), accumulating over six years of experience in the implementation of innovation projects, participated at SpaceX's competition winning Hyperloop Top Design and Best Propulsion System awards. Next year, they led a team of 35 engineers that built Spain’s first Hyperloop prototype, which was selected by SpaceX as one of the top ten Hyperloop prototypes worldwide.
