Soultown KiNEMA (STK), a Multimedia company registered with the Ghanaian company law Registered under the ownership of Nana Baah-ye Akuoko-Nketia established for the sole purpose of setting standards of professionalism, creativity and excellence in the production of 3D comic and animation, TV series, with film and documentary as its minors. As Start-up have gathered an impressive collection of new stories meeting our cultural values, which these stations can use for any broadcast. This encouraged A marks with a smile aka GH Apaafour and also under our sleeves include Dzijor - 3D animation & comic production from the novel THE LAST CRY – on HIV in Africa, Sweet Chocolates –Youth adventure, Ashanti – The British and Ashanti war, A missing Presidency and many more. Also include 13 TV content programs - such as The X Microphone, The African Queen, The Big Mouth Airs, Get Pampered. RATEFEST, Steamers and others.
The Concept, A mark with a smile developed around a group of five persons forming the Ghana Apaafour (Labourers) convince people in higher position to fund the activities of farming whiles the harvest shared in three parts; The GH Apaafour takes one and other 2/3 for the financiers. Demonstrating in a television drama series where the practical farming is cultivated with the main characters as farmers at the end of the program have the farms, which will belong to the production team.
The Project adapted from 4 manuscripts & 3 government policies; A role for TV License, The 4 Ws & H of TV license, Restructuring GBC, disorderliness, 1D1F, Planting for food and Jobs and beautification of the city are based on the 8 of the 17 SDG programmes.
The industry is growing rapidly; a viable venture and in Ghana, it has increase from five to 100 titles with over 300 hours of viewing. However, Africa and Ghana are yet to exploit this opportunity since most of these programs are from South America, USA, Europe and Asia.
The world turning digital, have brought up many new TV station, increasing the demand for TV programs. In Africa, lack of funding for developing the local TV content programs have been impossible making these stations depend on foreign contents. The viewing demand for TV series is on the rise such that advertisers are willing to pay huge sums to advertise their products on the programs. Also the internet is making the industry more lucrative since downloads for very good programs can generates over 150 million USD with an annual growth o almost 12%.
