Zargun ES is a new-age product development(embedded & automation) solutions provider founded in January 2019. The company is recognized by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade(DIPP) as a startup under Startup India.

The objective of the Zargun ES is to leverage the power of technology to solve real-world problems like waste management, smart city infrastructure, precision agriculture among others.

At present, we are trying to solve issues related to garbage(solid waste) collection which forms an essential link in waste management as per the draft National Resource Efficiency Policy(NREP) floated by the Environment Ministry, Government of India(GOI). The bottlenecks in realizing the NREP goal of double recycling rate of key materials to 50% in 5 years and enable reuse of waste lies in 6R - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Redesign, Remanufacture & Refurbish.

In line with this, we are working on the 'Refurbish' approach while utilizing the principle of ‘Kaizen'.

For ‘Refurbish’, we are working on developing a 'smart-kit' which can turn an existing bin into a 'smart bin'. The goal is to upgrade the existing infrastructure at a minimal cost.

A proprietary routing algorithm for understanding ’smart bin’ location & an Android app which fetches data over the cloud form some other features of the entire ecosystem.

The ‘upgraded’ bins will form the basis of how data will be mapped and interpreted in the smart-city infrastructure for planning and will play a vital role in ‘reverse logistics’ with regards to recycling.

The smart kits will be available inline with the market segments(like B2B, B2B, B2G, and B2B2C, etc.)

Other than this, we are also working on the ‘Redesign’ approach. Here we are developing an IoT based smart-bin(product) made using naturally available materials that have a low-carbon footprint for collecting plastic. more
