Tribal Wisdom​ is a sharing space for knowledge holders and practitioners of traditional knowledge, accessible for wisdom seekers and to connect with each other on techniques and customs that have been ​passed on from generation to generation, in communities all over the world.

Themes such as tribal parenting, sustainable agriculture, traditional crafts, organizational principles, architecture, relationships, dealing with loss and countless additional teachings are now, more than ever before, solutions that bring balance in our modern world.

We aim to do so with;
● An online platform with teachings from knowledge holders, who know and practice this knowledge
● Gathering written and recorded (visual/graphic, video and sound) examples of solutions to fundamental and everyday questions from traditional cultures, by featuring specific themes.
● Providing a platform on which contributors (wisdom holders and wisdom sharers) can connect and continue the conversation either on or off the platform.
● Encouraging people to observe without judgement and consider the value of tradition in their own lives, and what aspects of culture from past generations we identify with.

On the tribal-wisdom.org platform, we invite knowledge holders, or knowledge sharers on behalf of the practitioners/teachers, to share their stories, their profile and their origins. In designing the sharing platform, prioritize the needs of the knowledge sharers, as they are the ones whose 'resource' requires transmission. As such, we offer a collection of themes stories and teachings, where the wisdom seeker can connect further with the sources.

In having spoken to countless knowledge holders, we see empowerment and application of teaching efforts and effectiveness when knowledge holders with the theme connect amongst each other. This feature has, therefore, become a priority for our platform. A knowledge share community is on the roadmap for the next phase, as well as an easy front-end upload module to share stories, update profile and describe the history of the communities or area where the traditions originated.

We prefer first-person sharing over third-person and allow the knowledge holder to decide on the format, the amount and even the language of sharing.

Besides the online portal, we plan to facilitate theme-based and local/regional knowledge sharing of traditional stories, teachings and practices.
