Overview
We are developing the Inventori platform, which is a digital production tracking and inventory management web interface utilising blockchain technology and smart contracts to provide a state-of-the-art solution for the agricultural and food industry. The platform is designed to be compliant with the requirements of certification and standardised traceability systems. These systems aim to specify and monitor sustainability and/or food safety standards along the whole supply chain (e.g. www.iscc-system.org/, fsc.org/en, www.rainforest-alliance.org/, www.ifs-certification.com/index.php/en/, www.nongmoproject.org/ etc.).
These systems are overseen by system owners, who are non-profit organisations aiming to ensure sustainable production and reliable source for different agricultural goods. These systems require very detailed and complicated documentation practices to ensure traceability on the supply chain. Once an agricultural company has been audited successfully, they can maintain their certification and market their products under the sustainable standard label. (e.g. FSC, Rainforest Alliance, ISCC)
The issue is that companies often waste time and financial resources to maintain an adequate system however it can still remain vulnerable against, mistakes, fraud and misuse.
Our solution will be designed to ease these administration processes and reduce it to the third of the current efforts and ensure that remaining compliant is effortless for companies. On the top of this, also their preparation for a successful audit is being shortened by 3 times.
Transactions between the supply chain participants are verified on a public blockchain (Ethereum) so when multiple users use Inventori, chain transparency and product traceability are accessible, safe and visible for everyone.
Alongside basic functions like product flow management and report generation, we are developing an individual product-tracking feature that will provide detailed information about each item for consumers in a web-based environment. The registered and presented data depends on the end user’s specific needs. This feature can be individually customised and marketed as the client’s branded product.
This is where our competitive advantage lies. Our platform is going to be developed with the purpose of compliance, easy customisation and implementation, therefore, end-users can quickly and easily adapt our platform and remain competitive in the market.
