FOR, Inc. was incorporated in Delaware in 2017 and is an online fashion rental company that enables seamless peer-to-peer commerce between renters and lenders.
We believe the closet of the future is a shared one where every person has affordable, convenient access to goods and services. Our goal is to enable our customers to rent and lend the fashions they crave, anytime, in a safe, simple, and sustainable way.
Our rental model lengthens the product lifecycle while offering the newness, variety, and affordability consumers everywhere desire. The average American woman buys 64 new pieces of clothing a year – 50% of which she’ll wear once. Fashion on Rotation (FOR) seeks to capture this highly fashion-conscious market by providing an opportunity for one-time usage at a deeply discounted price. We partner with our customers to source inventory, then rent them to customers in the short-term, long enough for that special occasion or holiday. In contrast with the typical idea of “buy a dress, wear it once, then stash it in your closet until you give it away”, FOR acts as the eternal closet where one can choose from a seemingly endless supply of fashionable items. Our goal is to build a marketplace for consumers to rent underutilized fashion items from lenders instead of shopping for throwaway fashion or expensive designer brands.
We operate a two-sided network that connects lenders and renters in the North American market. Powered by (CaaS) technology, our company helps lenders and renters connect, transact, and share clothes, whether they are online, on a mobile device, in an app, or in person. FOR is more than a third-party connection. We provide proprietary solutions that enable lenders to better manage their wardrobes and increase rental orders using our platform, while also helping renters realize maximum savings while renting the fashions they crave.
We offer our renters the flexibility to use their accounts to rent and send payments for fashion items more safely to lenders using a variety of funding sources, which may include a bank account, a PayPal account, a Venmo account, credit, or debit card, or other stored value products. We also enable our lenders to connect with their customers and manage risk, while offering them end-to-end solutions that provide instant access to customers and funds.
We earn revenues primarily by charging fees for completing fashion rental transactions for our customers on our Platform. more
