Joium believes that jewellery carries a great sense of personal history and the founders’ personal struggles with bringing a design idea into fruition as consumers in the jewellery industry led to the inception of Joium - where consumers are able to co-design a piece of accessory and have a unique, quality product made for them at a relatively affordable price.The significance carried by the piece and the personal attachment thereto as well as the quality means the consumers will likely to keep the pieces for a significant period of time (as opposed to the short product life cycle typically seen in fast fashion), reducing carbon footprint and wastage of materials. In addition, our manufacturing process will also help preserve the hand-made boutique jewellery workshops in Spain, which are disappearing as an ever increasing portion of the pieces of jewellery are produced by mass factories, and the craftsmanship attaching thereto.
