A web-application to prepare children to face hospitalisation and surgery downloadable from the consultation of the surgeon.

Family-centered approach that combines : prevention, education, distraction & research. We believe that is is only through the implication of the all family (including siblings) that you can face illness, surgery..but wider, difficulty in life. Prepare each and every to support one another and understand each point of view will foster and unify a family.

Prevention because from the beginning, children are invited to prepare themselves and understand what they will go through. Understanding is helping the children find their own solutions to face the reality. Because life is not easy, giving them psychological tools is essential

Education: though a pedagogical way, children and parents will learn from the pathology and the advice before and after the surgery. No surprise, no stress, no consequences in the post operative period.

Distraction: through games, children will prepare to the phase who are the most difficult to face for a children (the fear of the unknown rooms, the anaesthesia mask,...)

Research: in including gold standard scale (validated by the search), we will ease the research and focus on the period where nowadays the doctor has no view: home. Improving research is important for many reason. The first one is to help hospitals understand the necessity to care about the subject. Then, it is important to monitor the anxiety and to propose a true treatment to accompany children through behavioural trouble after surgery.
