Kvasir Analytics Ltd was founded to bring advanced statistical techniques to the challenges of managing and searching the vast document libraries that individuals and companies must now deal with.

Traditional search engines, such as Google, require you to use keywords to search and often require multiple queries to zoom in on the result you need. Such search engines are accessed via a webpage that you visit, and they focus on searching enormous unstructured collections of data.

The KvasirA search engine developed by Kvasir Analytics searches using just your current context: you present your current document as a query.

This results in higher quality matches without you needing to iterate searches or know relevant keywords, and without building any user profiles. KvasirA indexes specific collections of documents, such as the US patent database, Wikipedia, or the academic pre-print service arXiv, so that you do not waste time looking through long lists of irrelevant hits to find what you need. KvasirA also supports private, GDPR compliant creation and curation of document libraries, visualisation of the relationships be-tween documents in a library, and query of a library using a document written in a different language to those documents in the library.

KvasirA is presented as a service that can be easily integrated into existing tools and workflows. As well as a demo website, it has been made available via Chrome and Firefox browser extensions (giving you access to relevant content as you browse the web), a Slack app (Slack is a widely used chat system, so you can search for content during conversations with the rest of your team), a Drupal block (Drupal is a widely used open source content management system, so visitors to your website get links to relevant content automatically added to pages without tracking), and Microsoft Word (giving you relevant content while you are writing your document). The Chrome, Firefox, and Slack apps are publicly available via their respective app stores; the other two will be released over the next couple of months. Further integrations are planned for 2020. Walkthroughs of how to leverage our search API in your product are available from our blog.
