The LAUNCH.ed Business Ideas Competition rewards promising potential businesses and social enterprises from students and graduates of the University of Edinburgh. The ideas do not need to be fully developed, and entrants are not required to have a complete strategy to put the idea into practice. If you have an early-stage business idea, this is a fantastic opportunity to find out if your idea has commercial viability, and to discover how you can make it a reality.
Launch.ed is the University of Edinburgh’s free support for student entrepreneurs. They offer a series of events, 1-2-1 advice and hold competitions to support budding and growing entrepreneurs.
The University of Edinburgh has helped start more that 400 companies since 1967. Companies started in the last 5 years are employing nearly 350 employees and in 2015 along companies supported by the University raised over £237 million to grow their companies.
