Leaseful.com is the first peer-to-peer marketplace for college subleasing. Students nationwide are forced to sign 12 month long leases despite only being at school for part of the year. Whether you are a student going abroad for a semester, or a summer intern looking for housing in the city, Leaseful is here to solve your subleasing needs.

We created Leaseful with the belief that students deserved a better way to sublease: a platform that eliminates the uncertainty that comes with posting on Craigslist and a way to improve on the limited success that comes with advertising through friend referrals. The aim of Leaseful is to provide students with safe and easy subleasing options, while also having a positive impact on their wallets.

Andreas Gross Advisor at Leaseful

I was connected with Chad and Alexander a couple years ago via a friend. I advise very few companies given my time constraints but from our first call on I really liked the founders, their approach and willingness to win.

Throughout the time I have worked with them I have been impressed how the team approaches problems and finds creative ways to solve them. I haven't work with any other founders that are as willing to evolve as Chad and Alexander. Any time we have a chat they instantly connect what worked at Life360/Reddit apply it to their market, start executing and learning.

Overall I would highly recommend Leaseful as I think they can add a lot to TechStars and also help other companies to evolve and learn from their approach.

As a serial entrepreneur and operator of a coworking business in LA, I've been involved with many startups. Because Chad, Alexander and the rest of the Leaseful team work from Cross Campus, I get the opportunity to see them on a daily basis. Their hustle, energy, creativity and drive is exactly what you want to see in an early stage company. They've got a firm grip and focus on the market they're attacking, but also have the vision for what's next as they build upon early traction of a small business into something potentially much bigger. They are hungry to succeed, and hungry to learn. I've sent several of our startups to accelerators such as Y Combinator, Techstars, and Amplify, and the team at Leaseful is another ideal candidate for a top-tier accelerator program.

Throughout Leaseful’s development, Chad and Alexander have constantly run their ideas by me for advice and validation. And as someone who works in marketing and advertising, I've been impressed with their ability to pick an effective strategy and execute on it. They've shown patience by not overextending into too many markets, despite understanding there is a bigger glaring need. They've proved their willingness to make the tough choices for the sake of the brand, one of the hardest things to do for a young company.

I've known Micheal Johnson from Leaseful for almost a year. He has been a great professional resource -- both to bounce ideas off of for non-profit activities and to help me with my own technical literacy. He provides well thought-out opinions and is able to communicate technical concepts in an intelligible way. Further, he is committed to using technology to make a better world and makes tangible, practical steps to achieve his vision.
