LiveLike is a Sports viewing platform that leverages the immersiveness of virtual reality to bring the thrill of matchday stadium experiences into fans’ living rooms. Additionally, we leverage the power of social to allow users to share the excitement of watching their favourite games with their friends and family no matter their actual physical location.

We combine a wide angle video feed with a realistic 3D room to give the user the impression of being at the stadium inside a VIP suite. But our app is much more than a simple video player - from live statistics and on-field augmentations to multi-user functionalities that allow you to hang out with friends, our application is built to be a complete entertainment experience.

We follow a B2B2C model. Though we design the product experience for our end-users, the sports fans, we develop the business model based on the needs of our customers - the broadcasters and other sports media rights holders.

We know VR currently does not have the required customer market for it to be sustainable and/or profitable for broadcasters in 2015, and likely for 2016 as well. So we have focused on making broadcaster adoption costs as low as possible. We aim to fit within existing workflows and our system only requires one camera (any 4K camera) with a fisheye lens in order to broadcast. The workflow is essentially as simple as streaming one video to a mobile phone - something nearly all broadcasters are capable of doing today.

LiveLike will be sold to broadcasters as a white label solution (think SkySportsVR app) through a license fee and with an ad revenue sharing model. VR opens many innovative possibilities in the realm of advertising. We plan on building a platform with capabilities such as 3D product placement and branded on-field items. We also plan on having an in-app store to tap into sports partners’ existing online storefronts.

We believe these innovations on the consumer and supplier side are going to upend the sports media industry, and we aim to be at the forefront of that innovation.

Andre is first and foremost a force of nature. His enthusiasm and energy permits him to break barriers unlike anyone I know. He has acquired great knowledge of the VR industry - of its current technical limitations as well as its greatest promises - when he worked at InnerspaceVR as a Business developer. Along with his experience at Youfoot it brings him all he needs to make LiveLike the standard for a new generation of sports entertainment. Furthermore, many indicators point to the idea that VR sports will be a driver of the entire industry.

Saswat was a hackstar in Techstars Chicago last summer and a GREAT guy. Smart, dedicated and focused. I do not know the business, but I can vouch that he will be an asset to the team!
