The Living the New Economy Convergence is hosting a New Economy challenge and hackathon October 25th and 26th at The Port Workspace at 101 Broadway in Oakland. This is a great opportunity for developers and designers to network, have access to industry mentors, pitch a business or project idea, and win a full scholarship to the Uptima Business Bootcamp Accelerator.

This New Economy Challenge is part of a larger, 4-day event taking place in downtown Oakland, October 23-26, the Living the New Economy Convergence. With talks from internationally recognized speakers (Charles Eisenstein, Ian MacKenzie, Thomas Greco) and local business leaders, the event focuses on transformative solutions and opportunities within six intersectional tracks: Alternative Money & Finance, New Business Models, New Justice, Housing & Neighborhoods, Food Land & Water, and Local Manufacturing.
