Hunter and I met when he was at Xometry, and we talked frequently about marketplace business models and the detailed tactics behind behind building them. LLAMAWOOD is a reflection of his unique experiences, which have covered strategy and growth throughout the process of scaling companies. He brings the perfect combination of knowledge, passion, and grit to build a valuable business.
My name is Becca Moran and Hunter Guerin of LLAMAWOOD was my direct report at Xometry. During that time, I saw Hunter excel in a fast-past startup environment. It was a demanding role, but his boundless enthusiasm and passion for helping people brought incredible energy to our team. Hunter is naturally curious, which made him an exceptional product manager and no doubt makes him an exceptional entrepreneur. He is an empathetic observer of problems and is a creative and collaborative leader when it comes to solving them. Hunter is self-aware, open-minded, and committed to growing and learning. As such, he is probably the most coachable person I have ever managed.
Hunter is the ideal candidate for the Lighthouse Labs accelerator. If you could build a successful business on passion alone, LLAMAWOOD would be set. But this is an opportunity for Hunter to learn so much from, and ultimately give so much back to the Lighthouse family. He would be a wonderful addition to the community.
Hunter and I met as part of an idea incubator program called Idea Factory and from the beginning it was clear Hunter has the makings of a great entrepreneur and LLAMAWOOD is driven by his passion for bringing people together around a fire. Hunter is a helper and connected me to lots of great resources for my own startup, which leads me to believe he'd be a great addition to any accelerator cohort. He is also good at asking for help and anytime I've shared my perspectives on what he's doing, it's clear to me that he's taking everything in and is always appreciative of everyone's contributions. It has been inspiring to see him commit himself to LLAMAWOOD, which includes countless hours of piloting his various services, and leaving a stable job where he was a valued member of the team, to pursue this dream. I see LLAMAWOOD becoming a valuable service in communities across the country because of Hunter's vision and determination to bring great fireside experiences to everyone.
