L’Oréal Canada, a wholly owned subsidiary of the L’Oréal Group, the world’s leading cosmetics company, has opened the 2019 application process for its Open Innovation Challenge.

L’Oréal Canada Open Innovation Program helps entrepreneurs succeed. Our 10-week industry-mentorship-driven accelerator program provides in-depth foundational content that prepares you to develop, adapt and run a proof of concept, plus strong mentoring relationships with experts in your industry and in all aspects of entrepreneurship. Programs culminate with a Demo Day to present results and the business case with the potential of closing a long-term deal. ELIGIBILITY
The 15 selected applicants must attend the challenge day in Montreal, Canada on June 20th.

The 5 selected participants must travel to Montreal for 3 sprints of two week between July and September of 2019.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

PRODUCT & TECHNOLOGY
- Your product, solution or technology is applicable to L’Oréal Canada environment and answers one of the challenges
- Your solution is currently available in the market and used by customers

MATURITY
- Your startup has reached a certain level of maturity (in terms of sales, tractions, users, clients, PMF, team size, money raised,...)
- Your startup has been in business for at least 2 years

TEAM
- Your startup has a strong founding team (background, credentials, mindset, skills and vision)

BUSINESS
- Your startup is established in North America or you plan to develop Canada’s market
- Your startup can build a strong business case to convince the L’Oréal Canada executive team
- Your startup can align with LOréal Canada corporate strategy
