We have developed an entirely new thermodynamic mechanism that is used for residential air-conditioning. Nearly all space cooling and refrigeration technologies deployed today use the vapor-compression cycle. These vapor-compression systems use refrigerants that are extremely environmentally damaging, and they use large amounts of electricity to enact residential cooling. Our new technology does not use any type of high energy consumption compressor, does not utilize any type of refrigerant, and consumes 70% less electricity than existing units while meeting the same thermal loads.

The M2 Thermal Solutions team has completed the rigorous thermodynamic design of this new air conditioning technology, and has won preliminary grants from highly competitive funding competitions. We are now fabricating and validating our first-of-kind prototype....
