Apart from relationships and partnerships, background was sales. Started a sales office selling steel, 2 people to 5 with a £2m turnover in 2 years. Medical sales - start up/intrapreneur - new product or division, salesperson of the year at two companies and super-high achiever at another - during those years the customer base was loyal over a decade - still have relationships with customers and mentor ex staff, even though out of the industry for a decade. Won StartupWeekend Newcastle 2012 - build Joblog in a weekend with VC chasing, mentions in the Huffington Post and the Financial Times. Recently running Fuckup Nights, building a community and following, from nothing to 60-80 people attending , creating a brand awareness purely by social media and word of mouth with no budget! In June joined an app tech startup and digital design aganecy as Commercial Director. In summary the goodwill and relationships built in various sector and the region, is what I consider amazing.
