Our Business Model sees that VR technology will reach mass market penetration within the next 3 years. In the interim, product development, branding, and revenues generated from our Online VR Stores will ensure that we are strategically positioned to exploit the much expected mass uptake in VR through to our wider ranging global customer base, namely our Work-place and Health-service customer segments.
To protect our idea, in July 2016 we received a patent for our innovation from the Irish Patent Office and have since filed with the US Patent Office.
Over an eight week period, we trialed our TRL-7 prototype at URI-Soca, a research hospital in Slovenia specialising in rehabilitation. The results were presented at the Telehealth and Assistive Technology Conference in Zurich in 2016, and further research results have been accepted for publication in the Journal for Medical Internet Research.
In 2015, we were the winning finalists of the FP7 funded Future Internet Challenge for eHealth Accelerator, and received €220k equity free funding. In 2016, we were the winning finalists of Enterprise Ireland's Competitive Start Fund, and have now entered their High-Potential Start-Ups programme.
We are currently in discussions with the Health Service Executive in Ireland to fund a small internal pilot trial.
