I’ve known Camilla for many years. She's edited a number of broadcast current affairs documentaries that I made for the BBC and Channel 4 – and so we have worked closely together on programmes made to strict deadlines, under considerable pressure. Camilla was always calm, effective, very creative and also a pleasure to work with. She is a very experienced and talented film editor and I’m sure her ability to cut, pace and add style to a documentary narrative will transfer extremely well in her new Musicland venture.

I worked with Camilla when she was originally developing the Musicland concept for TV. I was extremely impressed with the high quality of the educational method and the huge drive and passion that Camilla and Caroline had for encouraging more young children to learn and understand music.

As such a well established, and successful, music teaching programme, it is now ready to move forward and expand. Furthermore, Camilla has excellent ecommerce skills which will ensure that Musicland can fully embrace the digital age.

I strongly believe that the Musicland method is the best possible start to a child’s musical education. I am testament to that.
When I was four, Caroline Lumsden made a life-changing suggestion to my mum; that she bring me along to a Musicland class. Twenty six years on, I couldn’t be more grateful to Caroline. Having studied at the Royal Academy and Royal College of Music I am now a professional violinist. My career thus far has ranged from performing at the proms, to recording at abbey road, and playing on the 2012 Christmas Number One. The Musicland method allowed me to read music before I had even begun to read words and above all allowed me to make some incredible friends and create my life around music.
Music has opened so many doors for me and I am passionate about giving others the skills and knowledge to allow the same to happen for them. This is why, with a friend and colleague, I have now set up a branch of Musicland in West London.
