MY-GATEWAY to Web Summit 18

Are you a startup based in Slovenia, Romania or Czech Republic or you are conducting your business activities in the CEE region? Do you want to attend Web Summit and gain exposure? We are looking for the 10 most innovative and disruptive startups to join the MY-GATEWAY delegation at this year’s Web Summit in Lisbon (5-8th of November).

What is MY-GATEWAY?
MY-GATEWAY is an initiative of Startup Europe that creates connections between startups and scaleups from Slovenia, Romania and Czech Republic with prominent European ecosystem builders to boost their growth potential. MY-GATEWAY will select 10 startups and will cover their ticket for Web Summit. Accommodation and travel costs must be covered by the startups.

What can you expect from WEB SUMMIT?
Web Summit is the largest tech conference in the world, with over 70.000 attendees, 1.200 speakers and 170 countries represented expected to gather in Lisbon for 3 full days of networking and doing business. Web Summit also gathers the entire investor ecosystem, from big fishes to the most relevant angels and venture investors, as well as over 2,500 international media outlets.

I am interested! What do I have to do?
If you wish your startup to be considered as potential part of this delegation, please fill in the application. The application will be open until 20th July. A selection committee comprised of leading startup support organisations from Romania, Slovenia and Czech Republic will select 10 startups based on the following criteria:

- Startups at a more advanced phase of development of their idea, have an existing prototype and/or viable business plan. Applications from idea stage startups won’t be taken into consideration.
- Development phase of the product (TRL classification). For more info visit: bit.ly/2JMLR52
- Viability of the business plan
- Financial plan
- Go-to-market strategy
- Startups based in the CEE region. Startups from other countries can apply, however their business interest must be in the CEE region and explained in the application.
- Startups that have a unique idea that differs from the rest of the competition (bear in mind that, as mentioned above, prototype and/or viable business plan are mandatory requirements).

Startups will be informed no later than 1st August regarding the status of their application. Selected Startups must confirm their participation to Web Summit until the 8th August.
