This is a central management dashboard for organizations as well as users. Organizations can communicate with help-seekers and with each other to manage the case more efficiently.
NAJI will be a two part system-two mobile apps and a web service- with an optional bracelet. Help seekers use the mobile app to send help requests to one or several organizations. Aid organizations assign requests to local teams near the location of help seeker and also track the process of help with live reports and satisfaction surveys afterwards. The team will receive the request on their mobile app, and then they can easily navigate to the location and stay in touch with the victim and center throughout the process. We intend to provide mobile apps for most popular platform namely Android and iOS. Web server will be implemented in Python using Django framework and with conventional front-end technologies for user interfaces. To ensure at least a minimal functionality in different network connectivity conditions, web server will be able to communicate with mobile apps through Internet (4G, 3G, GPRS, Wi-Fi, etc.), MMS or SMS with the same API for critical tasks such as sending help request. Location of mobile device can be detected by exact GPS or GSM towers (not exact). The mic and camera in mobile device will be used to augment the request or response with multimedia. Bracelet is connected to mobile app via Bluetooth and has a button for activating mobile app and sending the request. It can optionally have a vital signs sensor to record user’s signs and transmit them to mobile app and later to web service.
