NallaUnavu & NallaKeerai are initiatives to create, stabilize and reproduce a sustainable model of agriculture. Started 4 years back by a group of young and middle aged individuals, giving up their professions to create this farmer centric model, putting to test the ideals like “Need based production”, “Bringing mutual sensitiveness between farmers & consumers”, “Sustainable financial cycle to the farmer” & “Pro-Natural, Bio diverse food production”,

NallaKeerai is attempting to evolve an appropriate answer to every farmer’s sinking economy and to the Indian agriculture. Built around this, NallaKeerai, by growing 40 types of organic greens (keerai) has developed into a sustainable model in the last 4 years.

We, a youth group across various fields (Professor, Lawyer, MBA, Engineer, Farmer, Consultant, Charted accountant, Financial analyst) have initiated this NallaKeerai (Natural Greens).

At Nalla keerai, We do Natural farming & supply 30 varieties of Naturally grown Greens with an intention of delivering 'Pure Health' to our customers and 'Prosperous bio-diverse farming' to farmers.

Nallakeerai is widely covered in local press in both print and broadcasting media winning many industry and media awards for its sustainable green farms and health awareness creation and marketing startegies.

NallaUnavu has undertaken an important initiative from raising awareness to ensuring availability of appropriate and safe food for consumers in their chosen areas. I am sure that this would go a long way in sensitising community and also making relevant food products available for adoption. Good to see a group of youngster taking up this challenging task. Wishing NallaUnavu a grand success!

What should a person do in order to gain and sustain good health? Breathe, Work, Eat (includes drinking good Water) and Rest/Sleep ......... all properly. Of course, Think and Imagine properly too.

NallaUnavu attempts to help us Eat properly by Farming properly.

It does take a lot of courage and conviction to pursue more sensible farming practices than the more prevalent chemicals-centric (including genetic interventions at the seeds-level) farming carried on nowadays. There seems to be a belief that the chemicals are used to augment natural processes and that we are only building upon Nature’s working and wisdom. But, are the results in line with the objectives sought to be fulfilled? For sure? Anyways, what are the attendant risks? Do we even know them? Are they within the confines of our grounded imagination?

Wouldn’t we be better off without all the toxic chemicals leaching into our body tissues? NallaUnavu provides us with a positive assurance of "good food", wow!
