As an alumni of Lighthouse Labs, I have been in touch with Faran and team since about an year now and am very confident about his commitment to The Nex Network, a geo-networking app which can enable people to connect with each other in the local area, events and places for a broad number of reasons and purposes. With an expert development team behind this startup (they have already launched their product on Google Play and App Store), the key to their growth is going to be a cost-effective and workable marketing strategy. This is an area where Nex Global Networks LLC can greatly benefit from the learning and acceleration opportunity presented by Lighthouse Labs. I believe Nex has great potential to evolve and become greatly relevant to today's needs of college students and professionals. --

I've spoken with Faran several times and he struck me as a bright and intelligent founder who is looking to build something of value. I believe Nex Global Networks would benefit greatly from participating in a world-class accelerator such as Lighthouse Labs.

I think NEX is onto something great. Their app focuses on people actually getting out and having in-person experiences, instead of spending their time in a virtual reality, like Facebook and LinkedIn. There are many social and marketing aspects to this app that can serve a variety of different purposes, and apply to all types of consumers.

I first met Faran through 1 Million Cups, Richmond, where I am an organizer for this program sponsored by the Kauffman Foundation. Faran and his development team appear to be honing in on a promising concept with local social networking and local search engine marketing.
The team appears technically capable and committed, and have developed and launched an MVP in the US and Pakistan. Faran appears very motivated to make this startup successful. I like their promise to use social media to facilitate real human interaction and community building, a weak point for many in the existing space.
As they are in the very early stages of refining their val prop and their revenue generation model, I believe Faran and his team would greatly benefit from participating in the Lighthouse Labs startup accelerator.
Dale Fickett Co-Founder at RVA Works
I had the pleasure of meeting Faran Qureshi through my role leading RVA Works, and our 1 Million Cups program in Richmond, Virginia.
Through subsequent discussiins, and his presentation in this forum, it became clear that Faran has a clear vision for establishing social networks online based on geographic proximity. The concept is a compelling idea, and I wish him and the team the best of luck in establishing requisite customer engagement.
Also, Faran strikes me as a passionate, diligent, and insightful founder.
Please feel free to ask me any questions regarding this reference.
Best regards,
Dale Fickett
