The flow of liquid moves by capillarity through the membrane towards the areas where the reagents of the two test lines are stored (Test and Control Line).
When the sample contains quantities of an analyte above a certain threshold, an analyte-antibody-tracer complex is formed which is recognized by the antibody of the test line and precipitates, forming a colored band of intensity proportional to the concentration of analyte in the sample. Thanks to the absorbent pad, the flow of liquid continues even when the membrane is completely moist towards the control line, consisting of capture antibodies that bind the tracer independently of the concentration of the analyte in the sample. In the event that the control line has not been colored at the end of the test, the test is considered invalid.
The product proposed by us is a multi-analyte lateral flow device, that is, it has 3 different test lines, one for each analyte of interest.

Based on how many test lines are visible, the exam will immediately return one of the 3 possible results:
• 0-1 lines: Do not perform biopsy
• 2 line: Perform the biopsy, in conjunction with other suspicious factors
• 3 line: Perform the biopsy
