I have built several robotic systems for consumer, commercial, and research applications. This includes development work on WowWee's MiP robot, which sold out its initial production run of 500,000 units last year as well as a significantly more advanced, as yet undisclosed robot shown behind closed doors at CES this year and slated for release next year.
I've presented my research work multiple times at international robotics conferences (IROS SF '11, Tokyo '13, NIWeek '09, '12), including the Switchblade mobile treaded platform that can dynamically balance to climb over large obstacles and the SkySweeper high wire robot which can scoot and swing along high wires faster and more affordably than existing power line inspection robots.
My work has been recognized by Popular Science's Best of What's New Award 2 years in a row (SkySweeper '13, MiP '14).
