NOIR FEST is a traveling film festival increasing access to visionary, world-class African Diaspora film and media for theatre audiences around the world. We address the lack of racial diversity in Hollywood by creating new distribution channels for international Black content.

We will source high quality independent films from Black filmmakers from Africa, North & South America and South Asia and beyond. These films will inspire new imaginaries of Blackness through empowering depictions of multidimensional Black characters and richly developed, unconventional and visionary stories in a similar vein of 'Black Panther'.

Our day-long festival will feature an opening brunch with culturally-specific meals, followed by film screenings, Q&As with the filmmakers, and panel discussions. On completion of each film screening, viewers will also provide granular feedback data to filmmakers through digitally administered audience surveys. On site, we will have the highest-quality culturally-specific products for sale, such as contemporary African textiles, arts and other products, as well as NOIR FEST t-shirts and other memorabilia. The day will end with an evening cocktail and after-party featuring the filmmakers and actors.

We will replicate this day-long festival model in each of the five cities for five Saturdays each quarter of the year.
