Our company is focused on advancing critical research into the newly-applied field of Aquaponics to Cannabis growth. We are interested in exploring techniques such as dual root zone commercial aquaponics farming, tissue culture breeding, off-grid power generation (allowing for completely free or subsidized running costs) and other highly sophisticated cultivation methods for use in recreational and medicinal cannabis. These techniques, the research, and the branding is then licensed nationwide as a method of high-quality, boutique cannabis standardization nationally.

Initial tests show that aquaponics can produce harvests of 25-40% increased yields using 90% less water than traditional hydroponics. In addition, early laboratory cannabinoid results have shown increased rates of cannabinoid production and strength than typically produced. These results need to be controlled, retested, and verified prior to publication.

Aquaponics also uses even less labor than traditional hydroponics and completely organic, natural fertilizer. The dual root zoning mentioned above, in tandem with a healthy aquaponics system, allows for wholly separate and diverse ecosystems to develop and promote low-maintenance, rapid growth in flowering plants.

Another potential revenue stream is the production of off-the-shelf aquaponic hardware/software solutions specifically targeted toward the commercial cannabis industry. This includes branded smart-pots, aquariums/fish tanks, feeding programs, automated and connected controllers, etc. These products could be aimed both at the industrial and home cultivation markets.

Finally, although not expected to be a major revenue stream, aquaponics systems produce edible fish roughly every 9 months from hatchlings. As such, part of the byproduct of the research and marketing initiatives could potentially include selling organic fish to local farmers markets and grocers.
