PANONIT is a producer of a state-of-the-art solution for continuous and remote monitoring of soil-moisture and microclimate parameters of interest for agricultural production (PanSense). The PanSense system consists of a number of independent solar-powered measurement stations able to automatically measure and report on conditions such as the content of water (moisture) in the soil, precipitation, wind speed and direction, air temperature and humidity, rainfall, solar radiation and leaf wetness. Based on this information, the system warns users when conditions are favourable for disease development, enables smart irrigation scheduling and supports an electronic diary of production activities. We also currently conducting research project aimed at integrating additional sensors, such as toxic gas sensors and a soil pH sensor. The company's founders are University professors with expertise in the field of image/video processing, computer vision, data mining and machine learning, neural networks, deep learning, electronic devices prototyping and embedded systems programming and manufacturing.
