With the rise in gig economy and housing costs, more people are opting to live in smaller housing units (think tiny houses, RVs, shipping containers, vans etc.) in locations of their choice.
At the same time, land ownership is getting more expensive. Farm and ranch owners across the country are looking for helping hands and ways to generate extra income to maintain their land. While Airbnb solved the problem for apartment/homeowners who could rent out empty sleeping space in their homes to travelers, such a solution doesn’t yet exist for property owners who simply have a patch of vacant land.
