The business model is proposed to be one where an owner buys the chip and implant service from the vet for a cost of c€200. The owner then has to download an app with a yearly or monthly subscription of anywhere between €5-£
€10/month, depending on the level of service they choose. The revenue is split between the vet and Pawmetrics. Most likely will involve pet insurers too.

With an estimated 1 billion pet cats and dogs in the world and 15 million of them in the UK, the scaling potential is extraordinary.

This technology can also inform the development of embedded biosensors in humans too, particularly for chronic life threatening conditions and optimising end of life care.

Racehorses, camels, cattle, and zoos are other lucrative markets, as well as endangered wild animals in safari parks. Chefs have expressed interest in being able to be assured an animal such as a cow has had a good healthy life and therefore producing a high quality ethical meat product.

We're open to exit strategies but are committed to the development of the product and brand long term, it is a love and passion and we really do love animals. :) We're keen to set up an animal charity to or contribute to animal charities around the world. One of our vet advisors is working in Rwanda on guerrilla research and protection, the other is working with orangutans in Borneo.
