The piClinic Console is a sustainable and affordable patient record automation solutions for small, limited-resource clinics in lower-middle-income countries.
The piClinic Console works with a clinic's existing information workflow to automate the labor-intensive record-keeping and reporting functions in a clinic. By integrating into a clinic's workflow it can provide the benefits of automation sooner and with less training than by installing an off-the-shelf EMR system.
Constructed of common, off-the-shelf hardware and running open-source software, the unit cost of the basic system is under $300. All components can be replaced in the field without the need for specialized training. A standardized hardware and software system enables additional components and features to be added to the level that a clinic's resources can support.
