To use Plinqit, an end users opens an account - fully online, attaches their primary checking account which can be at the bank sponsoring Plinqit in their area or at any US based financial institution. The user sets a savings goal and then money is automatically transferred from their checking account to their Plinqit savings account held at the financial institution sponsoring Plinqit. The deposits are FDIC insured and again the bank holds the deposits. The average Plinqit goal is currently 12 months, so for 12 months, the user an refer friends to earn additional savings, make one time additional deposits, edit their goal, and also build curated content in our Build Skills module.

Through our patent pending technology the bank provides content to the saver about various financial topics from first time home buying, to early investing to managing your credit score and the bank can reward them with additional savings for viewing the content. We have tested with amounts from $.05-$.50 so far and have a 96% click through rate which is exponentially more than typical ads offered by banks today.

Plinqit is created by HT Mobile Apps (HTMA). HTMA was founded in 2013 by a former banker and began with Banker Jr a kids white label application. That application is now in financial institutions ranging from $30 million in assets to $18 billion in assets over 18 states. Through the launch of their first product the team identified a much larger market opportunity and built Plinqit to capitalize on that larger market.
