BioPPS compostable products are advanced polymer compounds capable of degrading and returning to the environment in industrial composting vessels. BioPPS products range is based on Starch, PLA (Polylactic Acid), and PBAT (polybutylene adipate terephthalate) in blended systems. BioPPS products portfolio can be categorized based on their processing method into three main groups: film blown, thermoforming, and injection moulding. These products are specifically designed for the packaging industry application, let manufacturers embrace sustainable packaging, and enable them to increase the renewable components of their products by up to 60% and reduce their products' carbon footprint cost-effectively. These products could be easily processed by a general production line used to process common plastics like polyolefins, and there is no need to upgrade or update the current production lines. These products' performance is compatible with current plastics in the market.

THe BioPPS innovations are using starch-based plastics. Their related formulation for biodegradable products led the plastic manufacturers to produce products with a high percentage of bio components and lower prices than many other similar products available in the market.

Starch-based plastics by themselves are not comparable to conventional plastics in both performance and processability. To develop BioPPS products, the R&D team has developed engineering innovations to make starch-based plastics with similar physical and mechanical properties to conventional plastics and easy processability by general plastic processing machinery.
