Our goal is to bring functional durable, affordable, individualized prosthesis available to people, both in industrialized countries and developing countries, through the use of new technologies like 3D-scanning and 3D-printing. We use open source material as basis and speed up the development process by rapid prototyping. We provide different product types for different markets, more complex models using servos and myoelectric sensors for customers in countries with good healthcare and insurances and more simple and rugged but still with better functionality to countries where healthcare is less affordable or available. After the patient’s disabled limb has been scanned, the model can be used to make the prosthesis fit each unique individual perfectly. With better materials and design the pain and irritation the constant use of the prosthesis causes can be significantly reduced.
