"Integrated Wireless Hospital Bed" positioning and monitoring system

Problem Description
Nowadays, more than two million and six hundred thousand of hospital beds are used inside EU for various patient care such as ICU, EMS, operation recovery, rehabilitation and etc. One of the most complexities for the bed owners, which normally are hospitals and clinics, is to manage bed position and to maintain the proper position for each situation without human in loop or without specific trainings.
Setting and maintaining the proper position for a bed is crucial since faults in the bed positioning in many cases, may lead to irreversible problems for the patients. In the case of emergency, such as CPR, available time may be less than 30 seconds and faults may lead to death. In rehabilitation, wrong position makes the patients musculoskeletal diseases. And in other situations, faults may annoy the patients.

Most wired controlled hospital beds, includes too many wires and tubes around the bed that is annoying for a nurse or the operator to find or change the bed position via controller. A simple solution is to use a wireless system to overcome the issue. This maybe a mobile application or a wireless controller device.
Some patients need to move regularly to avoid bedsore or other muscular problems. Currently there is not a monitoring system for real time detecting the duration that a patient is unmoved. Moreover, for big medical centers like hospitals, information about the exact position of each active bed and the situation of the patients on the bed are critical. Information about patients' movements and the duration of physical presence on the bed provides beneficial data for nurses and doctors to make proper decision, as well as hospital statistics and management.
Solution
We designed a smart system that uses a few hardware to connect electric hospital beds and a human interface for positioning and monitoring the whole beds in the same time. In this system, all electric beds could be controlled and monitored through a network, which is obviously compatible with the medical center DICOM network.
Almost 120 electric bed manufacturers are existed in the world. Their similarities are that they all using electricity and all they all have handy control systems. Our devices are compatible with various electric voltages. Moreover, handy control systems can be merged inside our device control unit. Then with a Wi-Fi connection, our network could have a real time monitor
