Chalmers Chatbot combines 211’s comprehensive support services database and our emerging technology to aid vulnerable communities. It is the first artificial intelligence-powered chatbot that uses self-selected filters and geolocation to simplify support service navigation in real-time. Currently, Chatbot end-users can locate shelters, food and clothing banks, free meals, drop-ins, and crisis support 60X faster than Google! Chalmers’ goal is to divert individuals from entering into homelessness by intervening and connecting them to supports and resources when they are at-risk. To date, Chalmers can divert 2% of all onboarded users from spiralling into homelessness, that’s over 200+ individuals in total, which is about $11 million in cost-savings in our existing municipalities.

Chalmers Enterprise Core aggregates Chalmers Chatbots’ real-time data and, through the dashboard, provides that information to cities, municipalities, regions, and communities. The dashboard displays pertinent information regarding the number of users in the area, demands on services and demographic details to make real-time data-informed decisions regarding policy, planning and resource allocation to be more proactive in homelessness prevention. On-demand data collection and reporting agility, qualities not met by Point-in-Time data, are essential during a crisis for ensuring resources are being directed where they are the most in-demand. Chalmers Enterprise Core can show the service search trends through passive behavioural data collection and traditional qualitative and quantitative data.
