Our e-commerce and social communication idea, Ardea, provides a meaningful answer to the question: who made my clothes? Ardea’s e-shop partners every month with a different local brand, providing consumers with the opportunity to acquire exclusive ethical clothes ethically made in different countries of the Global South, but more importantly, with the opportunity to meet the people and communities behind these garments. Our social media promotes monthly the local brand we partnered with, digging into the local realities, culture and textile traditions, recognizing the human and natural value of each piece of clothing. Making use of the communication tools offered by Instagram and Facebook, such as live talks, videos, stories and photographs, we will contribute to ending the disconnection between consumer and producer, bringing local realities closer, mainly through interviews, testimonies and life stories of the people involved in textile creation, as well as local NGOs, leaders and ...
